Koh Lipe, Thailand - Jan 2016 - Day 3

We went out early after prayed Fajr to sunrise beach around 6 am. We just had to cross the island through Walking Street to reach there. When we arrived a lot of people already been waiting at the beach for sunrise.

The view was spectacular. The sun looked like tiny ball rising slowly from the horizon until it's high enough to show it's full circle and full reflection on the sea surface. Everyone was busy snapping pictures and we had fun took pictures while playing with the shadows.

L.O.V.E checked!
We were starving by then and headed straight for breakfast at the hotel restaurant. En route back to the hotel saw this dog that seems like he had too much drink the night before lol.

The hangover dog lol.
After breakfast I decided to use little time we had to swim at the sea. The current was still bit strong in the morning so I did not went too far. My sister said she wanted to rest at the room so I went by myself and had fun swimming. After awhile I saw my sister coming with a couple of hotel pool float beds in her hand. We took pictures using her phone. I left my phone in the room knowing that I just want to play with water today. She put her phone in a waterproof case that I bought the day before for our snorkel trip. I was confident that the water would not get in after tried to dip it in water twice so I confidently hang it on my neck and continue played with water. I think it was for few minutes after that I realized the sea water seeped into the casing and by the time we was on the beach, the case was half full with sea water! I was a bit scared at that point that the phone might be damaged. We quickly went back to our hotel room, took out the phone from the casing and let it dry nearby the AC. The hotel staff was so kind to give us a bag full of rice to keep the phone in. Now there's nothing we can do but wait for the phone to dry up on its own.

Tragedy.... the phone wrapped in rice.
We checked out around 1pm then went to walking street to have our final lunch at the island. We bought cha-yen (ice tea) and chocolate roti again while waiting for the others to buy souvenirs at the shop across the street.
Cha Yen and Roti
For lunch we went to Khonlay Restaurant one more time to have Seafood of Pad Thai. The pad thai was recommended by our massager the night before. It was aweeesome.

Pad Thai
After lunch, we split to two group. Two of us wanted to continue searching for souvenir, while me and my sister wanted to visit the masjid. It is not too far from the walking street. The masjid looked pretty new. There were some building materials still left in front of the masjid. The young imam (I know he's young because we saw his name tag hanging at front of his door) house was right behind the masjid. Place for wudu' and restroom was actually on the ground floor of the imam house. He lives at the 2nd floor. It was very humble place but served the purposes. We prayed Zuhr and Asr jama' then took the motor taxi to the jetty.

Masjid interior.

A cat sleeping in front of the imam house.
We arrived at the jetty just in time to submit our passport. We waited for a bit for our jetty then boarded the ferry to head for Kuah, Langkawi.

Farewell Koh Lipe, maybe we'll see you again! :)
